Ashton Fischer is a 10-year-old Eagle River boy facing Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma. Ashton’s diagnosis is extremely rare. Anchorage doctors have not seen a case like this in Alaska so he was sent to Seattle. It is there that doctors will work to remove a very large brain tumor. He will face potential multiple plastic surgeries. Surgeons at Seattle’s Children Hospital have only seen five cases of this since 2003.
